Name change ยท October 2025
Quizzme is now Akono.
If you came looking for Quizzme, you are in the right place. We changed the name in October 2025. Same product, same team, same accounts. The old address, quizzme.ai, now points here.
What changed
- The name: Quizzme is now Akono
- The domain: quizzme.ai redirects to akono.ai
- The logo and the look
What did not
- The team building it
- Your account and your data
- What the product is for
Why the name changed
Quizzme was an honest name for what the product was at the start: something that made quizzes out of your notes. But the thing we kept building was not a quiz generator. It was a tutor. It plans what you study, works through the material with you, notices what you have not understood, and comes back to it later.
At some point the name was describing a feature rather than the product, so we changed it. Akono is the name it goes by now.
What has been built since
A tutor that talks back
Study sessions are a real conversation now. The tutor asks you a question, reads what you actually wrote, and responds to that instead of showing you the next card.
Courses built from your own material
Upload your lecture slides, notes or PDFs and Akono builds a structured course out of them, chapter by chapter, grounded in your documents rather than in the internet at large.
Checkpoints and practice exams
Each chapter ends with a checkpoint, and full practice exams tell you whether you are actually ready. Lessons teach, checkpoints make sure it stuck, practice exams tell you if you can sit the real one.
A study plan that respects your calendar
Give Akono your exam date and it lays the work out day by day, and hour by hour if you want it that granular, adapting when you fall behind.
It remembers what you got wrong
When you misunderstand something, Akono keeps that misunderstanding open and returns to it in later sessions until you can explain the correct version in your own words.
Questions about the change
Is Quizzme the same as Akono?
Yes. Quizzme was renamed to Akono in October 2025. It is the same product, built and run by the same team. Only the name and the domain changed.
What happened to quizzme.ai?
quizzme.ai now redirects to akono.ai. The old domain is no longer where the product lives, but every link to it should land you in the right place.
Do I still have my Quizzme account?
Yes. Existing accounts carried over to Akono. Log in with the same email address you used for Quizzme and your data will be there.
Why did Quizzme change its name?
"Quizzme" described a quiz generator, and the product had grown well past that into a personal AI tutor that plans your studying and works through material with you. The name had stopped describing what we were building.
Same product. Better name.
Upload your study material and let Akono build the course, plan the weeks, and run the sessions with you.
