The practical details students usually want to know before they start.
ChatGPT is a generalist. Akono is built only for studying. It turns your course materials into structured study sessions, tracks your understanding across every concept, and adapts based on where you're actually struggling. You don't ask it questions. It asks you.
Yes. Your uploaded materials are used during the initial course generation process, but then permanently deleted from our system. The whole process takes a few minutes, and after that, we don't store your study materials anywhere.
You're not sharing your materials publicly or violating any university policy. Akono just reads them once to build your course, then they're gone.
Akono works best for text-based subjects like law, business, social sciences, psychology, history, and similar courses. Biology and other content-heavy sciences also work well. For math-heavy subjects like physics or pure mathematics, it's not the best fit. But if your course is mostly concepts and theory with some calculations, it can still help.
Every session uses a mix of different approaches: quick recall rounds, error-spotting exercises, guided problem solving, teaching concepts back in your own words, and Socratic Q&A. Akono picks the right mix based on what you're working on, but you can also choose which modes you want if you have a preference.
Akono tracks your understanding at a granular level. Not just "you got 70% on chapter 3" but which specific concepts you're solid on and which ones you're still confusing. It prioritizes what's weakest, brings material back at the right time, and tracks specific misunderstandings until they're fully resolved.
Akono supports 34 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and more. Upload your materials in your language, study in your language.
Akono is free to start. The free plan includes 1 full study session per day, enough for most students. If you're in exam crunch mode and need unlimited access, the Limitless plan is €12/month or €10/month annually.
